The analysis data were the results of 3 month monitoring arterial blood pressure (ABP) and heart rate (HR) with 33 patients diagnosed as hypertension at the Cardiologic Clinic in Moscow in 2001-2003. The patients were divided into two groups according to the medication treatment (1- arifon retard and 2- arifon retard + prestarium). Altogether 5694 registrations for each of the examined physiological parameters were gathered. ANOVA and MANOVA were performed to establish statistical significance for the influence of geomagnetic activity (GMA) on ABP and HR, taking into account the type of medication and gender of the persons in the examined group. We revealed that systolic, diastolic blood pressure and HR of the patients suffering from hypertension increased reliably with the GMA growth. The response of the patients taking both medications to the GMA variations is more pronounced compared to that of the patients taking only one medication. The largest changes in ABP took place on the «0» day. Also, we observed the changes of the physiological parameters on the -1 day and they kept till the +1 day. Comparing the results with similar investigations of healthy volunteers in Sofia, we show that HR changes more dramatically with sick people, and women's response is stronger than that of men's.
