Solovetsky monastery: center of veneration of Russian saints in XV-XVI centuries

A history of veneration of the Russian Saints in Solovetsky Monastery from the middle of the XVth to the XVIth centuries with the exception of local ascetics Zosima and Savvatiy was studied. It was revealed that there was a considerable gap between a great number of Saints venerated there formally and a small group of ascetics considered by the monastic community their real protectors.
