The correlation of admissibility and reliability of evidence in criminal legal procedure

Introduction: the correlation of admissibility and reliability of evidence in criminal legal proceedings are discussing in the article. Shortcomings of criminal procedure legislation in the analysis of jurisprudence are highlighted. Materials and Methods: analysis and synthesis of jurisprudence reflected characteristics and implication of realization of the rules of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Russia about admissibility and reliability of evidence are the methodological base for the article. The empirical basis of the article is decisions of Russian courts. Results: the analysis of the criminal procedure legislation reveals challenges of the correlation of admissibility and reliability of evidence that relate to violation of rights and freedoms of citizens in criminal procedure. Discussion and Conclusions: the author's approach of solving the problems considered is specified in the article that consists in equality between admissibility and reliability of evidence and simultaneous assessment in criminal legal procedure taking into consideration the changing in criminal procedure legislation.
