Creation of the Eurasian Economic Union suggests that since January 1, 2015 some functions of the state bodies have been transferred to the supranational level. In this regard the author considers the correlation of the state sovereignty and the supranational organization. The analysis of the international law doctrine has revealed that there are several theories regarding the correlation between state sovereignty and supranational organizations: in particular, some authors believe that the states joining supranational organizations loose their sovereignty; the others think that the shared realization of sovereignty is possible; the third researchers consider that the states transfer the state functions rather than the sovereignty. The author supports the third opinion and shows that the states members of the Eurasian Union have transferred rather the state functions than the sovereignty.
