Correlation of "ethnos" and "nation" concepts in social philosophy

The article reviews various approaches to the definition of "nation" and "ethnos" concepts, the difference between them. The authors conclude that ethnos is based on linguistic affinity and consanguinity, and, in addition, nation stands on political and economic relations, culture, common identity. Nation exists in activities based on awareness of national interests, ethnos does not have this form of existence. Nation is the ethnos in formation and development period of industrial and civil society.
