The article is devoted to the actual topic - the shortage of medical personnel, the problem of staffing health care institutions with medical personnel. The state of human resources in health care in the Altai Territory was studied. The main reasons for the dismissal of young specialists were identified, the plan for retaining young specialists was analyzed, and a correspondence was drawn between measures to secure young specialists in state medical organizations and their actual motivation.
