The comparison of results of numerical modeling of radio-wave propagation in the Earth’s ionosphere is executed on the basis of the data, about distribution of electronic concentration model, received with the IRI help, and the radio-tomography method. Is shown that on the basis of model IRI the construction of the authentic forecasts of a radio communication is not always possible, and the updating of models by experimental data is necessary, most perspective of which is the radio-tomography method.
