Variety and forms of apricot of national selection to Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic

The article contains information about the food program in the main directions of economic and social development of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic and an increase in the production of fruits, berries, apricots, grapes, and other crops, and strangulation of varietal and pedigree composition of garden plantations. Apricot is widespread almost everywhere, however, industrial plantations are mainly concentrated in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. Throughout the centuries, an aboriginal assortment of apricot has been formed in this region, differing in specific biological and economic features and properties, but its bioecological features have not been studied in detail by anyone. The article also identifies the bioecological features of apricot in various ecological zones of the region and selects the most valuable forms and varieties of folk breeding for reproduction and the formation of the genetic fund of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. In the various conditions of growth (lowland, foothill and mountain) of the identified forms and varieties of folk selection, the biology of their flowering has been studied, yields and some bioecological features have been determined, and a fruit tasting assessment has been carried out. Our works also provide a detailed description of the identified 7 forms and varieties of apricot folk selection. Of great importance is the quality of the fruits of apricot - this content of sugars, acids, aromatic substances in them.
