The interaction between bovine serum albumin (BSA) and dimethylformamide (DMF) was studied by means of fluorescence and reflection spectroscopy, viscometry and isothermal titration calorimetry. It was found out that DMF does not form stable complexes with BSA. If the concentration of DMF is below 0,2 M, then BSA keeps its native form and exists in solutions in stretched ellipse forms, If the DMF concentration is above 0,25 M, then BSA shapes into statistical coil form.
