The state of state support for livestock breeding in the Altai territory

The article examines the current situation in the field of support for livestock breeding in the Altai Territory, focusing on the importance of state regulation and financing. Special attention is paid to the development of own milk production, support for livestock breeding, wool production, the development of meat farming, herd horse breeding and antler reindeer husbandry. Data on the number of breeding farms in the region, their status and the volume of sold breeding young are presented. The role of breeding and breeding work and the coordination of these activities by two key organizations are discussed. An important aspect is the creation of a laboratory for molecular genetic examination to improve the accuracy of determining the origin of farm animals. The article emphasizes the importance of the development of livestock breeding to improve the genetic potential of animals and increase the competitiveness of the industry.
