The article considers the issues of monitoring the current state and trends of processing industies' innovation development in St. Petersburg. The authors defined the role of processing industries in the industrial development of the country and carried out the analisis of statistical data of processing industries in 2009-2014. There are highlighted development trends of the industrial complex of St. Peterburg and the main directions of implementation of industrial policy.
