Condition of deers populations (Artiodactyla, Mammalia) and their value as the object of hunting on territories of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic

In work the condition of populations from genus kinds of Red deers (Cervus L., 1758) in Central Caucasus within the limits of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is analyzed. Data on dynamics of numerosity and distribu-tion of Red deers and Sika deers from second half of XX century till present time are cited. Offers on reintro-duction and restoration of Caucasian subspecies of Red deer and elimination of introduced Sika deer in terri-tory of republic are stated.
