State of traditional culture in the modern Yakut village

The article reviews the results of the research dealing with the current state of the traditional culture of Yakuts. The author considers data about beliefs and values, family relationships, culture of childhood, attitude to public policy in the field of preservation of Yakutia national culture. It is concluded, that the modern Yakut village keeps some elements of the traditional culture, the most stable of which are the following: traditional economy (cattle and horse breeding, mowing), traditional family relations.
