In the given article the existing problems in the field of employment of the population, a condition of labor potential and its conformity to needs of sustainable development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are considered. The dynamics of the total number and number of employees of the municipal service of the RS (Y) by the level of education is analyzed.
