State of external migration processes of CIS countries

The article analyzes the formation of the migration policy with regard to legal approaches to the regulation of labor migration, which should be started with a reference to the main principles and norms of the relevant international legislation at the regional level, that is, the CIS level. Labor migration in the CIS countries immediately after the disintegration of the USSR began to gain momentum rapidly. In this connection, the need arose quickly, first of all, to protect the rights of labor migrants, as the national legislation on migration in the CIS countries was only beginning to be created, and in some countries it was not at all.
