Cooperation of the CIS countries and Russia in the field of education

The article considers questions of cooperation between CIS countries and Russia in the field of education. Special attention is given to the formation of a single educational space in the CIS countries, activities of the Council for Cooperation in Education of states-participants of the CIS, activities of basic organizations for cooperation in the field of education. Historical ties, the attraction of the peoples of the CIS countries to the mutual enrichment of the spiritual, educational, cultural and scientific exchanges, interactions of states-participants of the CIS in these fields determine the importance of humanitarian cooperation, its priority in the integration processes within the Commonwealth. Today the CIS is a real and sustainable mechanism of integration and co-operation in all areas. For this reason, following the economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of security, issues of cooperation between the CIS countries and Russia in the field of education come to the fore.
