The article discusses approaches to improving the information infrastructure of management systems. It is established that the main goal in the framework of information support is the availability of the necessary quantity and quality of information. It is proved that an information resource at a particular time can be developed or purchased by purposefully selecting a system of indicators on the basis of which the need for production and economic information will be determined, and applying optimization methods to rationalize its structure and flows. At the same time, modern information support covers economic, technical and technological, social and essential fields, each of which is determined by certain factors. Analyzing the scheme of interaction of data and information in the decision-making process, the head, as a person authorized to make managerial decisions, relies on information in his activities and collects managerial information as a result of performing the functions assigned to him. The purpose of using management information is to transfer the managed object to the desired state. The analysis of the company’s activities in the field of informatization has shown that in the conditions of market relations, the constant flow of cash flows, which activates the activities of all subsystems of the enterprise, is an important factor affecting the efficiency of the enterprise, its competitiveness, and image.
