The perfection of the treatment-and-diagnosis aspects of acetabular injuries

The results of treatment of 23 patients with surgery for heavy injuries of acetabulum served as a material for this study. Special attention was paid to assessment of the severity of patients' condition. Clinical, roentgenologic, laboratory examination of patients was made according to the clinically developed diagnostic standards with application of modern technologies. For the purpose of detailed visualization and obtaining more exact information about acetabular injury character the computer tomography with 3D pelvis bone image modeling was carried out in 20 patients. Osteosynthesis was performed with a special wire-and-halfpin device "Hip-Pelvis", which was proposed and used according to the technique worked out. The device use allows to achieve acute stabilization and reposition of pelvic bone fragments with elimination of central dislocation femoral head. Little invasiveness of the technique with minimal damage of soft tissues allows to perform osteosynthesis in the early and acute periods of traumatic disease. The positive results obtained while the device proposed using make it a device of choice in treatment of patients with acetabular injuries in early periods of traumatic disease.
