The paper describes a method for improving the monitoring and forecasting of roadside air pollution. It deals with the data on the density and structure of traffic flows obtained from the automated vehicle accounting system (AMS) of St. Petersburg. The article also presents the results of its testing by computational monitoring in 2018-2020 and forecasting by 2035 the impact of vehicle emissions on air quality near two St. Petersburg highways with high traffic intensity (Pulkovskoye Highway and Sofiyskaya Street).
