The article discusses approaches to improving the planning and organization of the provision of tourist services. It is established that the development and implementation of the planning process for the provision of tourist services at a particular tourist enterprise should depend on its own needs, goals and features of the services provided. It is proved that effective planning of the activities of tourist entities does not yet guarantee them effective activity and achievement of goals. The approach to the process of planning the provision of tourist services has shown that managers of tourist enterprises should pay no less significant attention to high-quality tourist services. It is determined that the planning process should take into account the requirements for the tourist service and the requirements for the process of providing tourist services. This is due to the fact that a tourist service has characteristics, as well as a service in general, that distinguish it from a product. Therefore, in the process of planning the provision of a tourist service, it is necessary to present its consumer properties to the client as accurately as possible. It is established that in the real life of each tourist enterprise, the effectiveness of planning the process of providing tourist services depends on the specifics of presenting information, its perception, and taking into account the requirements for the tourist services provided when planning.
