Improvement of the regional system of civil defense, emergency situations and elimination of consequences of natural disasters on the basis of monitoring and forecasting of emergency situations

The complexity and importance of solving the tasks facing the EMERCOM of Russia is determined by the specific features of the Russian Federation: a large territory, a relatively low average population density and high concentration in large cities, the presence of regions of regular natural emergencies (earthquakes, floods, typhoons and hurricanes, large forest fires, landslides, avalanches, and others). In this regard, the role of predicting the occurrence of an emergency on the basis of constant monitoring of existing emergency threats is increasing.
