Technological improvement of rod punching tools manufacturing

In current market conditions specialists of agricultural engineering enterprises have to bring operation excellence, new technologies implementation and cost cutting issues into focus. In particular, it is necessary to choose the manufacturing process of the cutting tool, which has a direct impact on the cost of manufactured products, their quality and, as a consequence, on their service life and processing performance, that is, on those parameters that affect the level of reduced costs in the operation of the tool. It is suggested to improve the technological process of punch manufacturing for the production of agricultural machinery parts on rotary lines, in which the stamping operation replaces the turning one. A hierarchical hybrid model, consisting of four algorithm modules, is developed. The model takes into account the minimization of the force parameters of the process, the reduction of metal waste, and a mathematical model that responds the geometric and force parameters of the compensation cavity and contains the calculation of the punching force. The mathematical model of hot volumetric stamping technological process is received. It reveals the dependence between the stamping effort and time parameter of stamping and visualizes the deformation process from preparation to the final form of the stamped forging. The feasibility study on the example of die-cutting tools production has been done.
