Regeneration of forests destroyed by wildfires is an essential challenge in forest management and burnt forest areas in sand soils create especially difficult conditions. This problem successful solution depends on a number of factors in particular applied planting stock and forest regeneration operation technologies. Analysis of planting stock production technology development proves that the most efficient planting stock for forest regeneration is large-sized seedlings. Clearcut area regeneration technology development steps have its own distinctive features and site preparation procedure for all follow-up operations based updated machinery is fundamental. Environmental and resource saving technology that ensures fertile soil layer conservation in forest plantation area is the most perfect to establish forest plantations. Studies of planting stock production technologies and clearcut burnt forest area regeneration in forest steppes and soils proved site treatment advantages of furrowing with shaping of planting trench that promotes pine plantation survival and growth conditions. It was found that planting stock type (bare root or containerized seedlings) does not sufficiently impact pine plantation growth indicators. Updated technologies and machinery enable mechanization of planting stock production and forest plantation establishment operations with good performance and labour and production cost cuts.
