Improvement of criminal and procedural tools to counter crime: myths of the legislator and realities of law enforcement

Introduction: the article considers criminal and procedural establishments determining the current state of fight against crime as well as the level of the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens involved in in criminal proceedings. The value of the research findings is primarily determined by the use the relevant statistics reflecting the real state and the development of criminal and procedural establishments both from the point of view of the legislator and the enforcer.
