Improvement of water management in irrigation projects

The issue of the research is to calculation and analytical base improvement of digital on-farm water distribution management based on computer systems to support dispatching solutions. Issues of management information support based on the decision-making as a process of information processing have been solved.Proposals on calculation improvement as well as analytical base of digital systems on water distribution management for on-farm irrigation system based on the computer software to support dispatching solutions are given in the paper.The theoretical basis of the research is the results of the research of the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other departments as well as domestic and foreign authors.The development of methods, algorithms and models of computational and analytical bases for the decision support in the operational management of water distribution for irrigation purposes are carried out. The requirements to the structural and functional scheme of the decision-making process as the basis of the decision support system for the operational management in water distribution are developed. On the basis of the SDBM ACCESS, the software for water management on-farm planning within the irrigation system is developed, the transfer of preparation and decision-making on the operational dispatching management of on -farm water distribution within the irrigation systems to the level of new automated control being provided.
