In the post-war period, Soviet correctional labor policy began to undergo changes, and especially after the death of Stalin, when the Khrushchev “thaw” began (from the mid-1950s). This concerned not only correctional labor legislation, but also scientific views - it was then that the Soviet science of correctional labor law was revived (after a virtual stop in its development since the late 1920s). And it was Scientific views that largely determined the content of the new correctional labor legislation, the norms of which are analyzed in the article (we are talking primarily about such of them as the Fundamentals of Corrective Labor Legislation of the USSR and Union Republics (1969), the Correctional Labor Codex of the RSFSR (1970). In general, a scientific and legal overview of the development of correctional labor law is given, from the mid-1950s to 1970, when the foundations of correctional labor policy were formed in the USSR, which were in force until the end. existence of the Soviet state.
