Soviet special tour groups as actors cultural diplomacy in China in the 1950s

The article describes the visit of specialized tourist groups of the Soviet-Chinese friendship society to the PRC in the 1950-1960s. The article based on materials from the State Archive of the Russian Federation. The article attempts to trace the correlation of cultural and official diplomacy of the USSR, tries to reveal the features and methods of Chinese cultural shows and the mechanisms of their degradation. The author suggests his own periodization of Soviet-Chinese relations in the 1950-1960s.
