Coincidence of designation and other sense relations

Бесплатный доступ

The article deals with the problem of syncretism - the usage of the same linguistic means to express different sense relations such as designation, cause and effect, naming things, classification and others. The author points out that designation can coincide both with the relations that exist in the objective world (e.g. cause and effect) and with the relations that are the result of mental activities of a man (e.g. naming things and classification).
