Joint operation of submersible centrifugal pumps on the network in fire extinguishing systems

The features of the application of a centrifugal submersible pump in fire extinguishing systems are considered. According to the test results for the submersible pump, the pressure dependences on the supply are obtained. As an example, the operation of stationary carriage trunks when connecting three piston centrifugal pumps is considered. To calculate the characteristics of submersible pumps, a system of equations containing five unknown costs is constructed. The solution of the system of equations is found by the numerical method. The ways of forming a system of equations when connecting two and four pumps are shown. The calculations carried out show that with an increase in the number of working pumps, the water consumption (and the flow rate) does not increase too noticeably. However, the total power consumed increases significantly. This leads to a sharp drop in efficiency.
