Modern counterterrorism activities of the European Union police

Introduction: the article reveals the current problems of law enforcement of the police and other institutions of the European Union member states in the field of combating terrorism. Materials and Methods: the work used logical, system-structural and statistical methods. The research materials were the norms of international and European law, as well as the norms of supranational legislation and the European Union member states in the field of combating terrorism, analytical studies of domestic and foreign experts and scientists in this field. Results: the article highlights the features and factors that objectively affect the legal and organizational support of the fight against terrorism in the countries of the European Union in the context of global and regional counter-terrorism practices. Discussion and Conclusions: a critical view has been formulated on the forms and methods used by the police and the competent authorities of the European Union in the field of combating terrorism, suggestions have been made from law enforcement practice for the Russian Federation and partner countries in the anti-terrorism coalition that are members of international unions with the participation of our country.
