Modern fixed antihypertensive therapy: enalapril and nitrendipine

Despite of the development and implementation into clinical practice of highly effective antihypertensive drugs, adequate control of blood pressure is includes only 30-40 % of patients. The paper presents the results of our studies to assess the efficacy and tolerability of a fixed combination of enalapril / nitrendipine in the treatment of patients with hypertension. Against the background of the use of a fixed combination in patients with arterial hypertension I-II degree for 12 weeks, showed a reach target blood pressure in 85 % of cases. Studied the combination of antihypertensive drugs contributed to a significant decrease in average blood pressure in the daytime and night-time variability and morning rise in blood pressure.
