Expert practice suggests that the materials and instruments of writing are the most frequent objects of technical and forensic expertise of documentation. To replace the previously common means of writing other more sophisticated appeared recently requiring new methods of investigation. The most effective methods include microscopy, shooting in different ranges of the spectrum, adsorption-luminescence method, etc. These methods when applied to objects of technical and forensic documents examination allow to solve a wide range of problems, mostly of a diagnostic nature. With this in mind the following tasks were addressed in the work: 1. Systematic classification of photo paper for inkjet printing, depending on its density and, consequently, chemical composition of the base coating. 2. The effect of the density of the paper on clarity and color saturation of the resulting replicas of the studied records. 3. The dependence of the type and degree of luminescence on paper density. The authors selected the optimal combination of paper and solvent - wet method for copying ink of a fountain pen, ballpoint pen pastes, ink stamp and ink, often used to perform handwritten records and prints seals and stamps. The results demonstrate the need for further study of this issue, especially because as long as there are securities, they will always be subject to attacks of criminals trying to change their original content.
