The modern principles and contemporary cancer control and oncological care organization in Russian Federation

Malignant neoplasms are leading causes of death and disability in developed and, in recent years, developing countries. In this article contemporary organization of cancer control and oncological care is described. Prevention and early detection are the main principles of cancer control that allow to reduce cancer morbidity and mortality. Improvement of cancer control and care is carried out through the implementation of state health programs which implementing by Ministry of Health. The action effectiveness of Ministry of Health in Russia, as well as regional ministries and departments of health, which play key role in the oncological service, is assessed by the degree of indicators achievement of the state programs.
