Modern legal framework of auditing in Russia

The author of the article gives a brief historical and legal overview of the formation of the modern legal framework for conducting auditing activities in the Russian Federation. It is stated that the formation of the legal basis of audit in the country was difficult and was somewhat late when compared with other branches of national legislation. The current legal framework for auditing activities in the Russian Federation includes legislative and by-laws, including international ones. At the same time, it is being developed and modernized in accordance with the current socio-political realities.
