Modern Russian policy in the field of countering illegal migration

Introduction: the article considers the problematic aspects of the legal regulation of the sphere of illegal migration from criminal offenses. A number of conceptual solutions to the issues of combating illegal migration are proposed, taking into account the latest changes and additions to the current legislation in this area. Various aspects of illegal migration through the prism of the analysis of threats to the national security of the Russian Federation are studied. The legal framework in the field of combating illegal migration is given and analyzed in detail. The necessity of improving the norms of existing criminal and administrative laws is indicated. Materials and methods: The regulatory framework of the study was constituted by the criminal legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as national legislation in the field of legal movements of foreign citizens and stateless persons.
