Current features of Islamic approaches to human rights

In the framework of the conceptions of globalisation the peculiarities of perception of Western ideas of human rights within modern theory of Islam are reviwed in the article. It is noted that modernisation of the Arab countries at the international, state and public levels touched Islam also that caused a number of transformations at the theological and ideological levels, including discussions on human rights issues. Two main doctrines which are engaged in search of the bases of declaration of domination of human rights on the basis of Islam values are singled out. In both doctrines - "fundamentalist" and "the Islamic Renaissance" - the main paradigm proceeds from statements that the culture of respect of human rights results from the Quran and the doctrine of the prophet Muhammad and that practice supports correctness of Islamic vision of human rights.
