Modern strategy of Kaluga region social-economic development

Modernization of all spheres of society is necessary in the modern world, because the things are progressing. All the regions try to be the leader in innovative development, because our century is the era of technology. Digitalization and modernization, which are not presented in all Russian regions, are important for people at the moment. In such regions, which have such innovative developments that can improve humans’ life, there are higher economic and social indicators than in regions without them. A developed region is perspective for any person, because there he will be able to keep up with the times and realize himself with the help of new opportunities. This article analyzes the second stage of Kaluga region social-economic development strategy named “A human is the investment center”. This strategy was developed to improve the quality of humans’ life, to increase the demographic situation and life expectancy, to develop many clusters of the region and so on. To reach these goals they identified nine tasks which must be realized in the period from 2014 to 2019. The article analyzes all the presented tasks, the quality of their realization and identifies if the goals were achieved or not, how the identified tasks were able to improve the demographic and social situation in the Kaluga region, if it was possible to achieve the indicators that were planned, whether the identified tasks were able to affect the planned goals or if something else is necessary? Also there were made a conclusion about the rates of different developed regions, about the regions witch are taking the leading positions and which ones need to be developed more and what should be done for this.
