Modern understanding of the legal capacity of individuals in the law of the Russian Federation

The article reveals the legal nature of the legal capacity of individuals as a fundamental element of the civil and legal status of a person. Modern approaches to the definition of legal capacity, its characteristics and place in the system of legal categories are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the relationship of legal capacity with other legal institutions, including legal capacity and legal personality. The author explores the evolution of concepts, current challenges and offers scientifically substantiated conclusions on the need to rethink the role of legal capacity in the context of digitalization and the development of the information society.
