Current state and prospects for the development of international buddhist tourism

The Republic of Buryatia is the northernmost region in the world where Buddhism is practiced. Therefore, religious sites are inevitably part of the itinerary for foreign tourists visiting the Republic. This article examines how this type of tourism is developing and what the future holds for it.
