TV media consumption in Russia: current state and development

A brief analysis of the state and plans for the development of television consump-tion, as well as the challenges facing media research in terms of media measure-ments of the audience of traditional and mobile television during the transition todigital television broadcasting, is presented. The main problem of modern televi-sion broadcasting and television viewing, related to the long-term tendency of theaudience to leave the traditional television environment, as well as changes in theage structure of television consumption, is considered. The paper formulates themain reasons for the audience overflow to the Internet and mobile television en-vironment. It gives the qualitative characteristics of the main factors of successfultelevision and the main tasks facing the television industry in modern conditions.
