The current state of the collection of colubrid snakes at the Institute of ecology of the Volga river basin of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Information is provided on Colubridae family snakes stored in the reptile collection of the Institute of Ecology of the Volga Basin of the Russian Academy of Sciences. As of August 30, 2019, it stores 332 specimens of snake snakes: Natrix natrix (118), N. tessellata (131), Coronella austriaca (44), Elaphe dione (31), Malpolon monspessulanus (2), Hierophis caspius (6). Almost all specimens were mined in the Volga basin. For collection items, the following information is provided: species, inventory numbers, gender, age, date and place of production, surnames and initials of the collectors.
