The modern state of flora biodiversity protection in Yakutia

The reduction of plant biodiversity occurs for various reasons. Special attention is needed to the ecosystems of the North, the restoration of which has a slow pace. The main condition for the preservation of Yakutia biodiversity is the optimization of economic development, use in accordance with the ecological capacity of ecosystems, and environmental technologies. Now the third issue of the Red Book of the Republic is being prepared for publication, which will include 266 species of higher vascular plants, 71 spore plants and fungi. Yakutia has great advantages in preserving species in natural cenoses. The total area of specially protected natural areas is 30% of the territory of the republic. Actively implemented the protection of plants in artificial conditions - botanical gardens. Introductory study of rare species of the region is 32%. Most of them are highly stable and stable in culture. Reserve and insurance funds of these types are created. Methodological aspects of reintroduction, specific methods of transferring plants to natural sites, methodologies for restoration of numbers are being developed. An important aspect is the activities on environmental education and education. Effective solutions to biodiversity conservation issues are possible with an integrated and systemic approach.
