The current state of the cross-border area of the Republic of Buryatia (in case of the Okinskiy region)

The article analyzes the social and economic development of a typical rural border area of the Republic of Buryatia. The integral index, the index of quality of life, based on objective (statistical) data was calculated. The objective data is supplemented by subjective evaluation of life satisfaction in the area. The recommendations to improve the socio-economic development of the area are given in the article.
