In this work we describe the current state of the territory of the Yakutsk Botanical Garden, which in recent decades is undergoing some changes due to increasing anthropogenic impact on plant communities. Nevertheless, for a relatively small area (about 470 hectares), the vegetation of the botanical garden is rich and diverse. In the natural territory of the Garden, almost all types of vegetation are typical for Central Yakutia. Pine, larch, and birch forests are widespread here, meadow, coastal-water and marsh vegetation, steppe, and also the weed-field are widespread. Numerous old channels and lakes of the second above-floodplain terrace are rich in a variety of water and coastal-aquatic species. On the territory of the botanical garden there are 11 species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
