The current state of the fisheries complex of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

The final products of the fishery sub-complex of the agro-industrial complex is one of the essential factors in saturation of the domestic food market. The development of the fishery sub-complex is of a strategic nature, since its products are included in the group of basic food products of the population, and affect social stability and health. One of the main problems of the socio-economic development of Russia remains the problem of ensuring the country’s food security. The development of the fish products subcomplex occupies one of the leading places in solving this problem, necessitating its effective regulation. Many regions of Russia have the necessary natural resources for the effective development of the fishery sub-complex, which is assigned a significant role in the agri-food complex of Russia. The article analyzes the fishery complex of the republic, studies regional regulatory documents, considers the current state of fishing. The volume of financing of state support for the fishery complex has been studied. The authors of the article propose priority areas for regulating the industry through state support aimed at increasing the resource base of fishing and improving the quality of fish products.
