Contemporary anthropogenic modifications of global biogeochemical cycles

Бесплатный доступ

Publications of V.I. Vernadsky formed a representation of mankind as a geological force. Current development of technogenic civilization strongly increased influence of this force on global biogeochemical cycles. Modifications of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus cycles are considered in this paper on quantitative level, dynamics of key anthropogenic fluxes and correspondent changes of biospheric pools are described. Problems of positivity or negativity of changes of biogeochemical cycles are discussed.

Biogeochemical cycles, carbon, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrogen, phosphorus, anthropogenic influence, fuel burning, fertilizer production, global warming, eutrophication, emissions, balance schemes
