Modern aspects of diagnostics, treatment and prediction of the course of hepatitis in children of early age

Hepatitis in newborns and children of the first year of life occurs both during intrauterine and postnatal infection. Liver damage can be a manifestation of the early onset of genetic diseases. An important aspect of the observation of patients is the etiological verification of diseases of the hepatobiliary system in young children. The monograph summarizes modern views on etiology, epidemiology, clinical manifestations, treatment of congenital hepatitis B and C, hepatitis in herpesvirus infections and mycoplasmosis. The materials of our own clinical, morphological and immunological studies are presented. Recommendations are given for choosing a personalized treatment protocol for each nosological form, a plan for individual observation and clinical examination of children at an early age is proposed.
