The article attempts to study and analyse the contemporary French researches concerned with Kosovo. The analysis of the conceptions covers different aspects of the process of its formation as a partially recognized state. The author describes the basic idea about the actual progress of the scientific debates on Kosovo in France and correlates them with the French foreign policy in regard to Pristina.
