Modern and pre-revolutionary aspects of involving minors in prostitution in Russia (case study of the Republic of Buryatia)

Based on archival materials, statistical data and case law, we present the historical and modern experience of applying the legislation on the involvement of minors in prostitution in the case of Buryatia. The article analyzes the problematic issues of standards of the Russian Criminal Code, which provide for the punishment for involving minors in prostitution, organizing prostitution, as well as other harmful consequences of commercial sex. We also have considered the certain aspects of the state policy in this area.
