Modern medical education is faced with the ongoing technological revolution, changes in the information environment around us, which requires greater use in the educational process of modern educational technologies. Department of Operative Surgery and Clinical Anatomy course with innovative technologies of Samara State Medical University, one of the first in Russia to make active steps to develop and implement simulation and virtual technologies in medical education. Material and methods Thanks to the collaboration of 3D developers, department staff and clinical specialists, the software “3D-Virtual Surgeon” and the highly realistic 3D atlas of the human body “Inbody Anatomy” were developed, the “Autoplan” project was developed - a system for automatic control and planning of operations, as well as a 3D computer program - workshop of surgical instruments and others. Results. Algorithms for which patents will be registered can be commercialized by granting a non-exclusive license for the right to use them in software development by third parties.
